English Classes
English for Life works in partnership with Greenville Tech, offering specialized English classes for the community. Academic English
Coming to the United States for University study? Feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of taking all of your classes in English? We offer an Academic English program that addresses the needs of international students as they assimilate into an American university setting. We partner with you and help you with your assimilation into the academic discourse and classroom interaction and culture. Our work together will focus on intercultural communication and improving your skills in academic reading, writing and research.

Business English
If you can communicate easily in English, but you still don’t feel confident with business tasks such as writing business emails, sounding professional on the phone, or making presentations, you will benefit from this class.
During the class we will focus on listening and speaking tasks such as interoffice communication, telephone skills, and giving presentations, as well as on writing tasks such as memos, emails, and proposals. We will also include grammar and writing instruction to help you sound truly professional.

ESL Cultural Topics
Improve your English, and learn new vocabulary and language structures while learning more about the culture of the U.S. and the Upstate. Our customized 30 hour course covers two to three cultural topics and includes reading and new vocabulary, experiential learning, group activities and dedicated field trips, writing and making presentations. We explore topics in U.S. Culture, Southern Culture, Pop Culture, History, and Current Events.
